Both UPS and generators must be properly installed and commissioned to ensure a long and trouble-free working life. Whilst small, less sophisticated UPS systems simply plug into a standard mains socket, larger UPS systems like communication room UPS systems (typically over 3kVA) must be electrically installed and commissioned by skilled and qualified professionals. Likewise with generators; larger standby generator systems, typically over 10kVA, should be professionally installed and commissioned. Additionally, a generator must be properly matched with all other power equipment for continuous power to be guaranteed.
As a leading generator supplier, our project team will work closely with you, from start to finish, ensuring your UPS and/or generator installation is commissioned safely, on time and with minimal disruption to your business. We’ll carry out a full site assessment including access, space and floor loadings of either your communication room UPS or generator space. We’ll then arrange delivery and placement, arranging special lifting and craneage if needed. We’ll organise all the electrical and mechanical work needed.
Our factory trained, highly skilled field-service engineers will then commission and test the complete power protection system. They work in accordance with factory-issued commissioning procedures and written method statements and provide full commissioning certification for warranty validation.
Electrical Insallation
A successful uninterruptible power supply installation can help ensure your power protection system runs at peak performance for years to come. Our fully-certified engineers are qualified to Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) standards and all electrical installations meet strict National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) criteria.
Our work covers all the components, cables, circuit boards, and miniature circuit breakers required to connect the UPS to the mains supply.
We understand that time is precious for all organisations, so installation can be arranged either inside or outside of normal working hours.
Commissioning
Our comprehensive commissioning service gives you the technical assistance to guarantee your system is installed safely and correctly to certified standards. Our expert engineers will ensure installation has been completed correctly, carry out necessary final checks, and power up the system so it’s ready for action.
Commissioning also includes an all-encompassing demonstration of the UPS before handover.
Battery Build
On the occasions where it is physically impossible to deliver and install a pre-built battery cabinet or rack, our expert team will complete the battery build separately, on-site. This involves our team constructing the various components i.e. cabinet, rack, batteries, and breakers at your location.
